      Request from us by E-mail, or download from the page of “Download Application Forms”, an Application Form. Fill out the Form by typing except for your signature, scan it, and then send it to us by E-mail as an attached file (if it is not convenient for you to scan your filled-out Form, just email it to us in Word format, leaving the photo frame blank, but you should remember to bring us the original paper copy when you come to our International Student Office for registration) or by post office to the following address:

2. Get your visa
      Go to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in your home country to get an X visa (student visa, for a study duration of 1 academic year or more) or an F visa (visiting visa, for a study duration of 1 semester) . Remember to bring with you your Admission Notice, JW202 Form and your passport (an X visa applicant should also bring Physical Examination Record for Foreigners with all the relevant examination reports).
      Those with an X visa shall go through the residential formalities in China within 30 days after arrival.
       If you do not have enough time to get an X visa or F visa before you leave your country, or if you are a short-term Chinese language student, you may get an L visa (tourist visa) , and we shall help you to go through necessary visa formalities when you have arrived (you will need to pay the expenses).
      An Z visa holder whose spouse works in China may also apply to study in our school

3. Physical examination
      If you plan to get an X visa and study in China for 1 academic year or more, you should take physical examination at a public hospital in your home country. All the items in the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners shall be examined (with relevant examination reports). Otherwise, you should retake the examination upon arrival, which will cost you extra expense.
      A recent photo of yours shall be pasted at the place specified in the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners, with an indenting official stamp of the hospital on it. All the items on the Recor shall be examined and verified with the examining doctor's signature. If the Record fails to comply with these requirements or is dated more than five months before the date of your arrival, a re-examination is required, and you shall pay the examination fee.
      If an X visa holder arrives without a physical examination (with relevant examination reports) or the examination does not meet the requirements, he/she should take the examination here at the Tianjin Administration for Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine, and he/she shall pay the examination fee. Those who fail to pass the examination shall leave China within the specified period of time.

4. Meeting you at the airport (harbor)
      If you wish us to meet you upon arrival, E-mail or fax us in advance the detailed information about your flight number, arrivnig date and time ( Beijing time), name of the airport (harbor), and arriving airport terminal, etc. A transportation fee shall be charged.
      If you come during the summer or winter vacation, E-mail or fax us before the vacation starts, for us to have enough time to arrange for your accommodation with the Students Dorm Department.

5. Registration
      Within 72 hours after your arrival, come to register at the International Students Office of CIE, Tianjin University of Technology. Bring with you your Admission Notice, JW202 Form, Physical Examination Record For Foreigners with relevant examination reports (if required), and 5 photos (the same as your passport photo).

6. Payment
      Tuition and other fees shall be paid at the time of registration.

7. Life on campus
      Food: a number of student canteens and restaurants on campus, offering a good variety of foods, costing about $1.5 - $4 a day;
      Accommodation: 3 types of furnished rooms including single and double rooms (refer to the page of “Expenses” for detailed information) at the International Student Dorm for you to choose from. If you plan to stay in the Dorm during your study at our university, you should specify it on your Application Form;
       Sports: sports ground, tennis courts, indoor courts for ball games, wushu (Chinese martial arts) hall, etc.;
