The Research Center of Nanometer Technology under the College of Material Science and Engineering is a multidisciplinary research center and opening up to the whole university. It follows the principles of “creativity, opening up and cooperation”. Putting equal emphasis on basic researches and their applications, the center is actively cooperating with enterprises to develop nanometer technological products. Great effort has been made to develop a well-functioning mechanism of integrating research, development and industrialization.
The center is equipped with up-to-date apparatus. For the synthesis of nanometer material, there are CVD、PE-CV,etc. In the testing of structure characterization and performance, there are D/MAX-2000PC, D/MAX-3WAXD, JSM-6700FSEM,etc.
It has a strong staff composed of full time and part time researchers, of which there are three professors and five doctors. Through hard working, they have already made unique achievements in the following fields:
(a) technologies of nanometer material control synthesis and assembly, including synthesis of nanometer material mold, and the assembly .
(b) non-organic illuminating nanometer material
(c) nanometer antibiotic material
(d) new nanometer transmission technology and nanometer transmitter.
(e) the application of nanometer material and nanometer technology in the transformation and upgrading of the traditional industry, involving using the technologies of nanometer addition and compounding to improve the performance of polymolecular material and ceramics and applying those technologies in functional coating and functional fiber.
