School of Mechanical Engineering

In this School, there are 90 faculty members (full and associate professors) devoted to teaching and doing research for the “863 National Science Projects”, State Natural Science Foundation Project, and various international cooperation research projects. Two of Tianjin’s major developed and developing disciplines are Mechatronics Control and Automation, and Mechanical Engineering and Automation. There are three research centers: CAD, CAM, and CAE engineering. Students are able to conduct high-level research under an advanced management system at these centers. The school has set up many training areas around the country, a couple being at Jinan First Machine Tool Ltd., and Dongfang Electrical Machinery, Ltd.
